Summary

The Logitech Keys-To-Go 2 bluetooth portable keyboard is ideal for use with smartphones or tablets. This document serves as a general introduction and user guide.

Benefits

This keyboard offers many benefits and remarkable features.

  • BATTERY LEVEL — When using a phone such as the Google Pixel 9, the battery level is shown by the operating system. For iPhone or iPad use, it is necessary to add the Batteries widget and use list view to clearly see the Keys-To-Go 2 battery level.
  • BATTERY LIFE — Battery life is described in product literature as 3 years of use at 2 hours per day. That would be 2,190 hours if based on 7-days per week. So, about one year of battery life if used about 6 hours per day. In general, it is a very power efficient keyboard.
  • BATTERY TYPE — Uses two standard CR2032 coin cell batteries.
  • COMFORTABLE — Comfortable typing action with ideal key travel.
  • COVER — Durable but thin cover flap easily folds under or over the keyboard.
  • FAMILIAR — Standard keyboard layout.
  • FUNCTION KEYS — The top row of keys provide easy control of screen brightness, media control, volume, emojis, and other functions. They are half-height but that’s barely noticeable for the top row keys. Includes back space and delete keys.
  • MULTI DEVICE — Can be used with three different devices and works well with a mix of Android, Apple, or Windows devices such as smartphones, tablets, or computers. The Windows Start key and Apple Command keys are properly placed and labeled.
  • PORTABLE — Slim and lightweight.
  • NOT RECHARGEABLE — If the keyboard runs low on power, you can install two coin-sized CR2032 batteries and instantly have power for over 2,000 hours of use. This may ultimately result in longer usable lifespan for the keyboard since the batteries are user replaceable. Products that use rechargeable batteries are typically not user serviceable and thus the entire product needs to be discarded when the batteries no longer work. A rechargeable keyboard needs a power source to replenish power, and it takes time to recharge. This keyboard is quickly replenished with power for thousands of hours use from just two small coin sized batteries. Be careful to properly recycle the batteries when depleted.
  • SCREW RETAINERS — The small screws used to secure the battery access drawer have clips that serve as retainers to make sure the screws don’t fall and get lost during battery replacement.
  • SIZE — About 9.5-inches wide measured from left to right shift keys, and 3.75-inches from spacebar to top row. About 10-inches measured diagonal from lower left key to top right key. This is about 87% of a standard keyboard size. The slight reduction is size is hardly noticeable. A standard keyboard is about 11-inches wide and 4.5-inches from spacebar to top row, with a diagonal measurement of about 12 inches.

Possible Issues

These are the issues that one should be mindful of when using this keyboard.

  • BATTERY REPLACEMENT — You will want to be prepared for the time when the battery needs to be replaced. A standard screwdriver will not work to remove the battery tray. A special T5 driver tip is needed (Torx size 5). You can purchase a single Torx T5 driver or a small inexpensive set of Torx drivers of various sizes. [View on Amazon]
  • BATTERY STYLE — Some keyboards are rechargeable. Others use standard AA or AAA batteries. With the Keys-to-Go 2 keyboard, the use of small coin-style CR2032 batteries may result in it being harder to find replacements. They are available online or usually at hardware stores, but possibly not available in a convenience store.
